Hello friends and family!
I am two and 1/2 weeks away from graduating! Yay! The next two weeks are full of ministry hours, internship hours, papers, projects, and choir concerts. This Friday through Sunday I'm working 22 hours with Stand Up For Kids...Eek!...Gotta get my internship hours done though. We're doing a thing called 48 hours this weekend, where the kids can actually come stay at a place we found to sponsor us.
Go here to learn a little more about SU4K (stand up for kids).

Unfortunately Denver does not have an outreach center, like in this video, mostly because the Denver program is so new. Rick, the guy in the video, and also the founder, was at our meeting tonight, so that was cool getting able to finally meet him. Please pray for the kids especially with 48 hours this weekend - it is a chance for us to make a lot of connections with the kids and to really help them!
I was in Springfield this past weekend for Tara Hamlin's wedding, but was so busy with wedding stuff I didn't get to see many people. I did see my mom for a day, and my dad an afternoon. He came into Springfield and we took pictures at Washington park. It was nice to see them both. I stayed with my grandparents and it was good to see them too.
The rest of my life right now really is just full of school...pray for me! I am getting sick and have been pretty consistently tired lately. =( It will all be over soon enough, and I am so excited!
I wish I could say I have a job lined up after graduation, but I don't. I am shooting a wedding May 16th, and possibly one on the 29th. But both of them are friends, so they get discounts! I bought a new camera and lens recently and really want to use them to earn a little cash! A real job I am looking to get after graduating is in a residential facility for teenagers with mental and behavioral problems. I have found some options, just haven't applied yet...I know, I should get on that...I will.
Andrew and I moved into a new place at the end of March and we love it. We're still not totally unpacked and settled, but we are for the most part. I am excited to have time after graduation to 'nest.' =)
Andrew is doing well. He has a full ride next year for college...yay! It's through a private scholarship that was pretty much made for him...someone who plays guitar, and has taken sound recording classes and wants to go into some type of sound recording job.
Spike the pet turtle is doing well. She was scurrying around earlier but has settled down. I added more water to her tank yesterday which always makes her scurry around! I really want a kitten - our screen porch door even has a cat door in it! - but I'm still too allergic =(
That's all for now - I just wanted to give everyone a little update before I move on to life after college! =)
